Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Pakistan, issued several vacancies for the post of Sub-Inspector (Junior Commissioned Officer – JCO equivalent) in different Collectorates of Customs. Applications are requested from Pakistani citizens for appointment on a contractual basis for two years, extendable based on performance.

    Post: Sub-Inspector (JCO equivalent)

Quota: Only for candidates with domicile of all districts of Balochistan.

Merit: 10

  1. Collectorate of Customs Indus
    Post: Sub-Inspector (JCO equivalent)

BPS: 14

Quota: All Pakistan Basis (open merit & provincial quotas)

  • Punjab: 54 (Merit-46, Women-05, Minority-03)
  • Sindh (Urban): 08 (Merit-07, Minority-01)
  • Sindh (Rural): 12 (Merit-10, Women-01, Minority-01)
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 13 (Merit-11, Women-01, Minority-01)

FBR Jobs 2025 Eligibility Criteria


Educational Qualification:
Second Class or Grade “C” Bachelor’s Degree from a university approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

Bachelors’ degree in Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Accounting, Computer Science, Law, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Physics, or B.Sc Engineering in any specialization is acceptable.

Physical Standards:
Male Candidates: Minimum Height: 5′-6″, Chest: 32″-33.5″

Female Candidates: Minimum Height: 5′-2″

Special Consideration:
Retired Armed Forces personnel (JCO rank) are also eligible to apply under Section 226 of the Customs Act, 1969.

Age Limit:
Minimum: 18 years

Maximum: 30 years (including 5 years general relaxation)

Age Relaxation Details
Following categories are eligible for extra age relaxation:

3 Years:
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, recognized tribes of Tribal Areas, AJK, and GB.

Candidates from Sindh and Balochistan for BPS-15 and below posts.

15 Years (or equivalent years of service):

Retired Armed Forces personnel.

5 Years:

Widows, sons or daughters of civil servants who died in service.

Important Instructions
Applications should be made online through National Jobs Portal (NJP) at www.njp.gov.pk.

Multiple posts need separate applications.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews only.

Physical Standard tests will be held prior to the written examination.

Government policies for women and minority quotas will be adhered to strictly.
